Tampa Bay Water plans and coordinates conservation programming in the Tampa Bay region. Our member governments are responsible for implementing programs that quantifiably reduce water demand.

While 75% of the Earth's surface being covered in water, less than 1% is available for human use. This makes conservation an important factor for using a limited resource in a growing population. Protection and preservation of the water supply is important to the economy, the environment, and human health. A cost effective way to manage supply and growth is to become water efficient.

In order to better promote water efficiency , Tampa Bay Water has partnered with the EPA WaterSense program. WaterSense is a program sponsored by the U.S. EPA that encourges water efficiency and the use of water-efficient products and practices. WaterSense labeled products and certified professionals make it easy to find products and services that save water while ensuring performance. WaterSense labeled products use about 20% less water and perform as well or better than their less efficient counterparts.

To find WaterSense labeled products visit Find a Product | WaterSense | US EPA or look for the WaterSense label on products (see left).

With this information, member governments and the public can make a difference in conserving the region's water resources.
